Cherry Lane Trail

0.6 miles completed today
11.97 miles completed total
Annie and I started out on cherry trail on a snowy morning.  The trail has placards set up that point out a species of tree with information about it.  We learned an awful lot about trees that we would not have had any chance of identifying without leaves in the middle of winter in Ohio.  As we walked down the path we saw two men feeding the birds.  We were amazed because the birds were actually landing in the mens' hands.  I had heard that the birds did this at this park but had never seen it.  The men beckoned to us and were so enthusiastic to share with us this marvel.  They gave us a bag of bird seed and told me to get my camera ready because the birds would not wait on me; sure enough I missed the first one.  But I caught the second.
This is a black capped chickadee.  Annie loved doing this too.
We took lots of pictures of the birds.  This was so much fun.
and here's some more...

a tufted titmouse even stopped for a little to eat.
